1. Who We Are
QuoteKit is a mobile application for tradespeople to create, manage, and share professional quotes. References to "we," "us," or "QuoteKit" refer to the developer of this application.

2. What Data We Collect
We collect only the data you provide directly through the app:

3. How Your Data Is Stored
All data is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. The app works fully offline. No data leaves your device unless you explicitly enable Cloud Sync in Settings.
If you sign in to enable Cloud Sync, your data is stored in Supabase — a GDPR-compliant cloud database. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Only you can access your data; row-level security policies prevent any other user from reading it.

QuoteKit uses the following third-party services:

5. Permissions We Request

6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Your data may only be shared in the following circumstances:
- With your explicit action — when you share a quote PDF or client portal link, that content is sent to whoever you choose to share it with.
- Service providers — Supabase, RevenueCat, and Expo as described above, solely to provide the service.
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect our rights.
7. Data Retention
Local data on your device is retained until you delete the app or manually clear it via Settings → Backup → Clear All Data.
If you use Cloud Sync, your data is retained in Supabase until you request deletion. To delete your cloud data, sign out in Settings and email us at privacy@quotekit.app — we will delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — use Settings → Export Backup to download everything
- Delete your data — delete the app (local) or email us (cloud)
- Portability — export your data as JSON at any time from Settings
- Opt out of Cloud Sync — sign out in Settings at any time; data remains on device
If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR including rectification and restriction of processing. Contact us at privacy@quotekit.app to exercise any of these rights.
9. Children's Privacy
QuoteKit is intended for use by adults running trade businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. We will notify users of material changes via an in-app notice.
